The Endura™ SiT5543 from SiTime is a Precision Super-TCXO that operates from 1 to 60 MHz. It provides a clipped sinewave/LVCMOS output with a frequency stability of ±5 ppb. This oscillator delivers OCXO-level frequency stability without the use of custom-made, low g-sensitivity Quartz OCXOs. It is a MEMS-based solution that is ideal for replacing bulky, less robust, and power-consuming Quartz OCXOs, and offers a 40% reduction in size with up to two-fold lower power consumption. This Super-TCXO is engineered for exceptional dynamic performance and offers stable timing in the presence of environmental stressors such as airflow, temperature perturbation, vibration, shock, and electromagnetic interference (EMI). It offers significantly better phase noise characteristics and acceleration sensitivity, contributing to a minimal packet loss in high-vibration environments.
The SiT5543 does not cause non-linearity in the output due to frequency pulling, resulting in an improved dynamic performance in closed-loop applications. It reduces field failures due to clock components, associated troubleshooting, and repair costs. This TCXO requires a DC supply from 2.25 V to 3.63 V and does not require a dedicated LDO regulator for power supply, which reduces the bill of materials (BOM). It is available in a surface-mount package that measures 7.0 x 5.0 x 2.0 mm and is ideal for land mobile radios, field communications, long-range communications, SATCOM, GPS/GNSS modules, airborne communications, networking and communication systems, defense, and aerospace applications.
