The AIE-4X4ER is a wideband air interface emulator that is used in test environments where the device under test receives up to 4 MIMO streams. It has 4 connectors for base stations/access points and 4 connectors for the devices under test (DUTs) for the emulation of cellular networks.
Operating from 400 to 6000 MHz, this device can emulate 2G, 3 G, 4G and 5G (FR1) cellular networks. Each of the 16 paths can be programmed via USB and LAN to have an arbitrary attenuation between 0 dB and 95.25 dB with a small step size of 0.25 dB with an update rate of> 100 Hz and is fully synchronous. The RF ports of the air emulation system allow signal levels of up to 2 Watts.
The AIE-4X4ER is available in a 3 U, 19 inches rack mount unit and is suitable as a tabletop device for laboratory use. All connectors are robust N-type. The AIE-4X4ER has an intuitive, graphical web interface through which it can be controlled. It is ideal for MIMO simulation, handover testing, fading simulation, GSM, LTE, and 5G applications.
Other products from the AIE-series offer a variety of port numbers and also a full mesh network configurations specifically for Car2X/V2X testing.
