VTX-5783G Image

The VTX-5783G from Communications & Power Industries is a Coupled Cavity Travelling Wave Tube (TWT) that operates from 9.35 to 10.1 GHz. It delivers a peak pulsed output power of 50 kW with a gain of 49 dB (duty cycle of 1.0%, pulse width of up to 50 μs). This TWT has a non-intercepting grid pulsed and dual stage depressed collector. It requires a cathode voltage range from -34 to -31 kV and a maximum cathode current of 8.5 A and a heater voltage from 9 to 11 V and a maximum heater current of 6 A. The TWT is available in a module that measures 5 x 5 x 18 inches with WR90 waveguide interfaces and is ideal for ground radar applications.

The VTX-5783G is available in custom configurations. These variations in the performance and configuration include cooling method (affects average power level), mechanical configuration, electrical and RF connections, and single stage depressed.
