The FEV-06-TR-0004 from Farran Technology is a Vector Network Analyzer Extender that upconverts an input frequency from 9.16 to 14.17 GHz to an output frequency from 110 to 170 GHz. It has an integrated variable attenuator that provides an attenuation of up to 25 dB and a 2-port controller that allows it to perform network analysis. The VNA extender can perform unilateral (TR – T) or bilateral (TR – TR) S-parameter measurements in the extended frequency range. It is compatible with the Keysight PNA-X series of network analyzers.
This VNA Extender has a dynamic range from 100 to 120 dB, a magnitude trace stability of ±0.2 dB, and a phase trace stability of ±4 dB. It requires a DC voltage of 6 V and consumes 1.5 A of current. The FEV-06-TR-0004 is available in a benchtop enclosure that measures 290 x 105 x 60 mm with a WR-06 RF interface and SMA-female connectors. It is ideal for test & measurement frequency range extension, measurement of balanced S-parameters, multi-port S-parameters, wafer probe measurement, antenna measurements, and material characterization applications.
