The ME786xA from Anritsu are Distributed Modular 2-Port Vector Network Analyzers that operate from 1 MHz to 43.5 GHz. They have a unique configuration with two 1-port MS46131A VNAs that are synchronized together to form fully reversing VNAs. Using the patented PhaseLync synchronization technology, the 1-port VNAs are phase synchronized over a distance of up to 100 meters to enable full 2-port vector S-parameter measurements. This architecture eliminates the need for long cables by bringing the VNA port to the device under test (DUT). It simplifies and improves the S-parameter measurements over distance in applications like over-the-air (OTA) and large vehicle shielding and propagation testing.
The ME786xA VNAs have a low-pass time domain with a time gating option which allows users to have access to a TDR-like display with more resolution than a bandpass time domain for characterizing discontinuities. They have a system dynamic range of 105 dB and up to 16,001 measurement data points. These VNAs require a single external PC to control the pair of ShockLine MS46131As as a fully reversing 2-port VNA with powerful ShockLine software. They require no onboard data storage which eliminates the need to purge data for secure applications. The analyzers are available in portable enclosures that measure 191.8 x 107.0 x 54.0 mm and include a USB interface.
