The SC7540 from Copper Mountain Technologies is a 2-Port 75Ω Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) that operates from 100 kHz to 4 GHz. This high-speed, lab-grade VNA has an extended dynamic range, and increased output power, making it ideal for laboratory and production testing specialists, RF component design and manufacturing, and aerospace applications. The VNA consists of an RF measurement module and a processing module that delivers high measurement accuracy and enables users to benefit from faster processors and larger displays. It is small, lightweight, and eliminates the need for data purging or hard drive removal in secure environments, thereby reducing the total cost of ownership.
The SC7540 measures S-parameter responses (S11, S12, S21, S22) with up to 200,001 points/sweep and a measurement speed of 24 µs. It has up to 16 logical channels with each channel represented as a channel window that displays 16 data traces (e.g., S-parameters) on the screen. This VNA supports data formats such as logarithmic/linear magnitude, phase, and group delay. It also supports CMT’s S2 software application either on Windows or Linux OS and uses proprietary algorithms to process the data using programming languages such as Python, C++, LabVIEW, and MATLAB. The VNA can be controlled using a USB interface.
This 2-port VNA has a dynamic range of 133 dB and an output power range from -50 dBm to +10 dBm with a noise floor of -120 dBm/Hz. It is available in an enclosure that measures 297 x 160 x 44 mm and has N-type (female) connectors. The VNA is ideal for the broadcasting industry, distance to fault measurements, quality control, on-wafer probing, field testing, and antenna-matching applications. It requires an AC supply from 110 to 240 V and consumes 21 W of power.
