The CX100 from VIAVI Solutions is a Handheld Communications Service Monitor (CSM) that operates from 1 MHz to 6 GHz. It is a fully featured radio test solution in a lightweight, rugged, and handheld form factor that is designed for tactical and LMR network technicians working in rugged environments. This CSM includes a 1-port VNA for cable and antenna analysis, a built-in spectrum analyzer, and connectivity to the VIAVI Mobile Tech App to simplify the testing process. It has an in-built 14.4 V Li-ion battery with an operating time of more than 3 hours. The CX100 is designed with advanced frequency, power, and modulation analysis instruments for analog systems.
The CX100 has a 5-inch color touchscreen display and features a menu-driven user interface that allows instant switching between test setups and navigating between a hierarchy of different menus. It has a Python-based auto-test framework which allows customers to write their own scripts and upload their own scripts directly to the box. This framework offers benefits such as automating checklists and measurements, controlling the device under test, storing test results, and repeatable processes and procedures. The VIAVI Mobile Tech App enables remote operation via the smart device, which allows users to operate the unit from a remote location.
This portable test set is available in a MIL-PRF-28800F Class 2 housing package that measures 30.5 x 24.1 x 10.9 cm and is a reliable and efficient solution to perform testing of infrastructure, cables, antennas, and tactical, handheld, or vehicle-mounted radios in the field.
