SH800 Image

The SH800 from Microwave Vision Group is a Dual-Ridge Horn that operates from 0.8 to 12 GHz. This linearly polarized horn provides a gain of up to 15 dBi and has a VSWR of less than 2.5:1. It has a unique design that prevents the excitation of unwanted higher-order modes in the aperture and delivers a well-defined smooth radiation pattern throughout the operational bandwidth. This horn has a stiff and robust mechanical design with a standard MVG circular interface for precision centering and a precision pin for accurate polarization alignment. This lightweight horn measures 270.0 x 149.1 x 225.0 mm and has a 3.5 mm (female) connector. It is suitable for gain reference, far-field test ranges, and reflector feeds for high-gain applications.

The SH800 has Surtec 650 surface treatment according to MIL-C 5541E class 3 and Polyurethane paint. It uses materials and coating that provide hydrophobic properties and good UV stability, low relative permittivity, and low dielectric loss, offering effective protection in outdoor conditions and good RF transparency. The radome enclosure is also equipped with pressure-equalizing vents to reduce condensation caused by rapid changes in temperature while preventing water and dust ingress.
