The BCM43720 from Broadcom is a Wi-Fi 7 SoC that operates in the 2.4/5/6 GHz spectral bands. It supports 20/40/80/160 MHz channel bandwidths, Multi-Link Operation (MLO) on all bands, and has Automated Frequency Coordination (AFC). This SoC supports OFDMA and MU-MIMO in both uplink and downlink directions to enable high-bandwidth concurrent multi-user data transfer. This Wi-Fi SoC supports modulation schemes up to 4K-QAM and features comprehensive wireless network security support that includes WPA, WPA2, WPA3 (with 192-bit Suite B encryption), AES encryption/decryption, and IEEE 802.1X support. It delivers a maximum PHY data rate of 2.89 Gbps and supports 2x2:2 spatial streams. This SoC is ideal for use in enterprise Wi-Fi access points.
