The CYW20735B1 from Cypress is a Bluetooth 5.0 SoC that is designed for IoT applications. It is based on a 96-MHz ARM® Cortex®-M4 microcontroller unit with a floating-point unit (FPU) and provides a data rate of up to 2 Mbps. This SoC has a programmable Tx power of up to 12 dBm and an Rx sensitivity of -94.5 dBm. It has 384 KB RAM, 2 MB ROM, on-chip oscillators, and a 32-bit real-time clock (RTC). The SoC supports all Bluetooth stacks and applications including BR (Basic Rate) and BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy). It requires a DC supply of 1.625-3.63 V, consumes 18 mA of current in Tx mode and 8 mA of current in Rx mode.
The CYW20735B1 can be controlled via UART, SPI, I2C, PWM, PCM, and PDM interfaces. It supports Adaptive Frequency Hopping (AFH), Global Coexistence Interface for easy coexistence implementation with Wi-Fi devices and serial wire debug (SWD). The SoC has 4 power modes to implement ultra-low-power applications which are managed by a real-time operating system.
The CYW20735B1 is available in a 60-pin QFN package that measures 7 x 7 mm and is ideal for game controllers, wireless pointing devices (mice), remote controls, wireless keyboards, joysticks, point-of-sale input devices, 3D glasses, blood pressure monitors, find-me devices, heart-rate monitors, proximity sensors, thermometer, and home automation applications.
