The WAV600 Series from MaxLinear are Wi-Fi 6 Certified SoCs operating in the 2.4/5 GHz frequency bands. They deliver speeds of up to 4.8 Gbps in the 5 GHz band and 1.14 Gbps in the 2.4 GHz band. The chips offer up to four spatial streams in the 5 GHz spectrum with a channel width of up to 160 MHz. They have the ability to connect up to 256 clients simultaneously and 32 virtual access points per radio that enables a quality user experience with various connected devices. These chipsets are suitable for use in home networks.
The WAV600 Series supports Linux Kernels 3.X and 4.X software packages. They include features such as beamforming, OFDMA, 1024 QAM (MCS 10-11), MU-MIMO, Target Wake Time (TWT), BSS colouring, and spatial reuse. The SoCs are available in MRQFN packages that measures 15.00 x 16.00 x 0.85 mm and have PCIe Gen3/Gen2 interfaces. They are suitable for use in service provider gateways, routers, access points, extenders and repeaters.
