The IW620 from NXP Semiconductors is a Dual-Band (2.4/5 GHz) 2x2 MU-MIMO Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and Bluetooth 5.1 combo module that is designed for industrial, mobile, and smart home applications. It delivers a Wi-Fi throughput of up to 1.2 Gbps and consists of integrated dual band Power Amplifiers (PAs), Low Noise Amplifiers (LNAs), switches and a PMIC. The module supports multiple energy efficient modes like TWT, Micro AP, TX Power Control, Wi-Fi Direct and BT5.1 to reduce power consumption.
The IW620 also supports 802.11s, EasyMesh and 802.11mc Wi-Fi protocols and Bluetooth LE LR, 2M LR, Bluetooth Low Energy Angle of Arrival (AoA), Angle of Departure (AoD) and Bluetooth LE Mesh protocols. It has a 2x2 5 GHz and a 1x1 2.4 GHz/BT antenna interface and is ideal for augmented reality and virtual reality headsets, 4K Video: dongles and streaming TV (OTT), AR/VR, gaming, home security & surveillance, smart IP/security cameras and home & building control applications.
