The PC802 from Picocom is a 5G Small Cell SoC that is designed for 5GNR/LTE small-cell disaggregated and integrated RAN architectures in FR1 and FR2 frequency bands. It supports Open RAN specifications, delivering a downlink data rate of up to 4 Gbps and an uplink data rate of up to 3 Gbps. This SoC supports simultaneous 5G-NR/LTE mode, flexible multi-RAT, multi-carrier component configurations, and Dynamic Spectrum Sharing (DSS). It has up to 8 Tx/Rx RF baseband ports that support up to 4 UL/8DL MIMO layers. This SoC has Ceva XC12 5G-optimized 1280-bit vector signal processors, RISC-V scalar processor clusters, Digital Front End (DFE), and MMSE/MMSE-IRC/MLD equalizers. It supports I/Q compression/decompression, debugs & device monitoring, and secure on-chip boot capability.
The PC802 can be controlled via SPI, I2C, and GPIO interfaces and also has a 4-lane JESD204B radio interface that supports up to 4 RFICs, 10/25 Gigabit Ethernet for eCPRI and Gen 4 4-lane PCIe interface to NPU. It is available in a thermally enhanced FCBGA package that measures 25 x 25 mm and is ideal for Indoor residential, enterprise & industrial networks, neutral host networks, and outdoor networks applications.
