The EFR32MG24 Series 2 from Silicon Labs are 2.4 GHz Multiprotocol Wireless SoCs that support mesh IoT wireless connectivity using Bluetooth LE 5.3, Matter, OpenThread and Zigbee protocols. These SoCs include an AI/ML hardware accelerator and Secure Vault to enable smart, robust, and energy-efficient products that are secure from remote and local cyber-attacks. They require a DC supply from 1.71 to 3.8 V, consume less than 156.8 mA in Tx mode and 5.1 mA of current in Rx mode.
The EFR32MG24 Series have 12/16-bit ADC, 2 Analog Comparator (ACMP), Digital to Analog Converter (VDAC), 8 Channel DMA Controller (LDMA), 16 Channel Peripheral Reflex System (PRS) and 16/24/32-bit timers. They support 2 (G)FSK with fully configurable shaping, OQPSK DSSS and (G)MSK modulation schemes. These SoCs can be controlled via USART, UART, SPI, SmartCard, IrDA and I2S interfaces. They are available in QFN40 packages that measure 5.00 x 5.00 x 0.85 mm or QFN48 package that measure 6.00 x 6.00 x 0.85 mm. These SoCs are ideal for gateways and hubs, sensors, switches, door locks, LED bulbs, luminaires, location services, predictive maintenance, glass break detection, wake-word detection etc. applications.
They have a 32-bit 78.0 MHz ARM Cortex-M33 MCU with DSP instruction and floating-point unit for efficient signal processing, up to 1536 kB flash program memory and up to 256 kB RAM data memory.
