What is a Tower Mount Amplifier?

Tower Mount Amplifiers (TMA) are those amplifiers that are connected between the base station and its antenna. These amplifiers are usually Bi-Directional and process both Tx and Rx signals. In the uplink part, the TMA amplifies signals that it recives from a users device - in this case it acts like a low noise amplifier. The higher the gain and the lower the noise figure of the Rx/Uplink amplifier in the TMA the better is the overall sensitivity of the BTS. In the Downlink side, the Tx Amplifier can be seen as the Power Amplifier i.e it amplifies the signal before it sends it out via the antenna of the base station - the higher the power and linearity of the Tx amplifier, the better the range of the base station.

everything RF has listed Tower Mount Amplifiers from the leading manufacturers and made them searchable by specification. You can use the search tool to identify TMA's based on your application or requirement. Once you find the correct part, you can view its specifications, download its datasheet or request a quotation. Any quotation request will be directed to the manufacturer or the distributors for the product in your region.
