7-bit RF Digital Step Attenuator from 9 kHz to 4 GHz

The PE43670 from pSemi is a high linearity, 7-bit RF Digital Step Attenuator (DSA) that operates from 9 kHz to 4 GHz. It has an attenuation range of 31.75 dB with 0.25 dB steps. The attenuator has a parallel or serial-addressable CMOS control interface. It maintains high attenuation accuracy over frequency and temperature and has very low insertion loss of under 2.4 dB. The OCXOs have a phase noise of -137 dBc/Hz at 10 Hz and a stability of ±1 ppb over a temperature range of -40 to 90°C. These oscillators require a start-up power of 6 watts and consume a steady state power of 2.5 watts from a 12 VDC supply. They are available in a surface mount package and are ideal for troposcatter communications, downhole seismic, high temperature industrial controls and extended temperature military/aerospace/avionics applications.
