Ku-Band Waveguide Low Noise SATCOM Amplifier

The HSM Series from Holzworth Instrumentation is a range of RF synthesizer modules that operate from 250 kHz to 6.4 GHz. They are microwave CW sources that are architected on a non-PLL based platform. The digital-analog hybrid design provides excellent phase noise performance and spurious response, which compliment the phase coherent nature of these digital-analog hybrid signal sources.

The modules can be controlled directly via the SPI bus, the Holzworth GUI, a preloaded lookup table, LabVIEW, MATLAB, C++, C#, etc. They have a switching speed of less than 100 ns with phase memory and an onboard precision 100 MHz OCXO. This omni-directional antenna has linear polarization and has been optimized for 900 to 924 MHz, 2400 to 2500 MHz and the 5150 to 5850 MHz band.
