Signal Generator for DOCSIS 3.1 Downstream and Upstream Applications

The SFD DOCSIS signal generator from Rohde & Schwarz has a downstream frequency range from 47 to 1218 MHz (extendable to 1794 MHz) and upstream frequency range from 5 to 204 MHz. It produces signals for DOCSIS 3.1, DOCSIS 3.0, digital cable TV in line with J.83/A/B/C and analog cable TV. This signal generator has a bandwidth up to 192 MHz for DOCSIS 3.1 and up to 200 MHz bandwidth for arbitrary waveforms. It can produce a DOCSIS 3.0 TDMA or CDMA signal in real-time in the 5 MHz to 85 MHz range. This generator is ideal for testing tuners, cable modems and upstream CMTS receivers in R&D and production and also for simulating DOCSIS 3.1 signals in real cable segments.
 
For realistic signal generation, it can add interference such as noise, phase noise, hum, tilt and even a defined bit error rate. This generator is accommodated in ½ 19" housing that takes up a mere two height units. This complex signal generation process can be conveniently configured from a PC or via a web interface. DC to 3 GHz Rotary Attenuator with 70 dB Range

Surface Mount Frequency Synthesizer from 7 to 12 GHz

The HFS-12000-XA from EM Research is a Frequency Synthesizer that can generate a signal from 7 to 12 GHz. This synthesizer has step sizes starting from 1 kHz to 1 MHz and provides 10 dBm of output power. It can generate a signal which has harmonics under -17 dBc and spurious suppression of less than -60 dBc. This synthesizer has a low phase noise of -90 dBc/Hz at 100 kHz offset, switching speed of less than 750 microseconds and requires a supply of 5 to 12 V while drawing 200 mA of current. Double Balanced Passive Mixer Operates up to 65 GHz

15 W WPC V1.2 Compatible Wireless Power Transmitter

The BQ501210 from Texas Instruments is a WPC V1.2 compatible wireless power transmitter that integrates the logic functions required to wirelessly transfer power to a WPC-compatible receiver with the capability of delivering up to 15 W. It is an intelligent device that periodically pings the surrounding environment for available devices to be powered, detects if a foreign metal object is present on the charging pad, monitors all communication from the device being wirelessly powered, and adjusts power applied to the transmitter coil as per feedback received from the powered device.

This transmitter uses a rail voltage control scheme instead of the traditional frequency control to adjust the amount of power delivered to the receiver. It supports fast charge operation with compatible receivers and has low standby power when Idle or when charging is complete. This Bi-directional cummunicating transmitter has 10 configurable LED modes to indicate the charging state and fault state. It also manages the fault conditions associated with the power transfer and controls the operating mode status indicator. RF Downconverter / Tuner from 200 to 2500 MHz

The ConvertaWave2 is a robust broadband RF downconverter / tuner that covers the 200 to 2500 MHz frequency band.
