Think Six - A simple to use setup for investigating signals in the D-Band

D band frequencies are significantly higher than the maximum frequency of any single box generators or analyzers currently available. With R&S®FE170 frontends, Rohde & Schwarz introduces innovative up- and down-frequency converters, providing both high performance and a simple setup with R&S®SWM200A signal generators and R&S®FSW signal and spectrum analyzers. No additional external sources are required, with all devices automatically recognized and all necessary calibration data transferred automatically. To demonstrate with no standards yet specified for the D band, a 2 GHz bandwidth 802.11ad signal at 148 GHz is generated, transmitted over the air, and analyzed.
