A Complete Filter Design Flow with Ansys NuHertz FilterSolutions and Modelithics Models
RF/microwave filters can be designed very efficiently by taking advantage of the capabilities of today’s software tools. One such tool that can be used to streamline the design of lumped-element and planar filters is Ansys® NuHertz® FilterSolutions (ANFS). For lumped-element filters, one possible design approach is to use ANFS in conjunction with Modelithics® Microwave Global Models™ for RLC components. This design process involves first synthesizing the filter with ANFS and then exporting it to Ansys Electronics Desktop (AEDT), where it can be optimized to achieve the desired performance.
