KAGA FEI Unveils Ultra-Compact Bluetooth 6.0 Low Energy Module for Next-Gen IoT Devices

KAGA FEI Unveils Ultra-Compact Bluetooth 6.0 Low Energy Module for Next-Gen IoT Devices

KAGA FEI, a global leader in wireless technology, to release its latest innovation, the ES4L15BA1 Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) module. This cutting-edge module is designed to be ultra-compact, offering advanced Bluetooth 6.0 compatibility and a host of features that streamline development for IoT, medical, and wearable devices.

At just 3.25 x 8.55 x 1.00 mm, the ES4L15BA1 is the smallest antenna-integrated Bluetooth 6.0 module currently available. Its compact design is a game-changer for manufacturers aiming to create smaller and more efficient wireless devices. The built-in antenna, along with multiple certifications, allows developers to significantly reduce the time and cost associated with design and regulatory approvals.

Advanced Features for Future IoT Products

One of the standout features of the ES4L15BA1 is its support for channel sounding, a technology that enables precise distance measurements. This functionality is particularly useful for applications that rely on proximity-based interactions, such as unlocking devices or enhancing security based on the physical distance of devices.

Additionally, the module boasts robust processing power, featuring an Arm Cortex-M33 processor and RISC-V coprocessor, backed by 1.5MB of non-volatile memory and 256KB of RAM. These capabilities ensure high processing efficiency, making it an ideal solution for complex IoT tasks.

Security and Certification

KAGA FEI has also ensured the ES4L15BA1 meets the highest security standards by incorporating PSA (Platform Security Architecture) Level 3 certification, which protects IoT devices from both physical and software-based attacks. This makes it easier for developers to meet advanced security requirements in their products.

The module has been pre-certified for Bluetooth qualification and complies with the Radio Law in Japan (MIC), the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the USA, and the Innovation, Science and Economic Development (ISED) in Canada. These certifications reduce the regulatory burden for companies, speeding up the time-to-market.

Product Availability

KAGA FEI plans to begin mass production of the ES4L15BA1 in September 2025, with samples available starting in February 2025. This timeline allows developers to prepare for integrating the module into next-generation devices while meeting industry standards for security and connectivity.
