Amphenol RF has introduced an exciting expansion to its TNC and RP-TNC connector lines, introducing new cable-mount configurations that are compatible with a variety of micro-coaxial cable types. This enhancement further broadens Amphenol RF’s connectivity solutions for high-reliability applications across numerous industries.
The latest additions to the TNC product series offer standard and reverse-polarity configurations that support flexible micro-coaxial cables, including 0.81, 1.32, and 1.37 mm sizes, as well as RG-178. Designed with a secure threaded coupling mechanism, these connectors provide enhanced stability and are ideal for vibration-intense applications such as industrial equipment, wireless infrastructure, military communications, and broadband technology.
Built for both durability and versatility, the TNC and RP-TNC connectors for micro-coaxial cable types feature nickel-plated brass bodies and gold-plated beryllium copper or brass contacts. They are available in both straight and right-angle plug and jack versions, with bulkhead mount options. A convenient hex-shaped coupling nut design enables quick tightening and untightening with a standard wrench, providing ease of installation.
Operating at 50 ohms with reliable electrical performance up to 11 GHz, these connectors extend Amphenol RF’s robust portfolio of RF interconnects, which serve a wide variety of industry-standard cable types and applications.
