Gowanda Components Acquires Microwave Circuits to Broaden its RF Filter Portfolio

The Gowanda Components Group (GCG) has announced the acquisition of Microwave Circuits from AMTI in Lynchburg, VA to further enhance and expand their RF and microwave filter design and manufacture capabilities.

The terms of the acquisition have not yet been disclosed but GCG stated that the Microwave Circuits’ production facilities will remain as it is in Beltsville, while the MD and Sales & Technical Support teams will remain in Lynchburg.

According to Gowanda Components, Microwave Circuits designs and technologies complement their TTE Filters business unit and the synergy in their capabilities and applications will enable them to offer a broader range of innovative filter solutions to design engineers in commercial, medical, microwave, military, space and other markets around the world.

This is their fifth acquisition in the last five years. The Gowanda Components Group now consists of a number of individual business, which include, Gowanda Electronics, Microwave CircuitsTTE Filters, Instec Filters, Communication Coil and Butler Winding.
