RG10 coaxial cables are an essential component in many electronic systems and networking installations. They offer high signal integrity and low loss of transmission, making them ideal for long-distance signal transmission. With a durable and flexible design, RG10 coaxial cables are a reliable choice for both indoor and outdoor use.
RG-10/U
RG-10/U Cable Structure
The RG-10/U is a 50-ohm double-shielded coaxial cable with an overall diameter of 0.463 inches and has a voltage rating of up to 4000 Vrms. It has an inner silver-plated bare copper conductor with 7-stranded construction (carrying the electrical signal), which is enclosed by an insulation layer typically made of solid Polyethylene (PE). The insulation layer is then completely enclosed by 2 silver-plated Copper braid shields that form an outer conductor and also provide a shield against electromagnetic interference (EMI). Finally, the structure is covered with an outermost layer called a jacket made of Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC). The jacket protects the cable core from mechanical, moisture, and chemical issues.
The RG-10/U cable exhibits capacitance of approximately 29.6 to 30 pF/ft, signal attenuation of around 6.0 dB/100 ft at 400 MHz (signal attenuation of the cable depends on the frequency) and has a velocity propagation of 67%. It has a center conductor measuring 0.0885 inches (2.25 mm) in diameter and an insulation layer measuring 0.285 inches (7.24 mm) in diameter.
