Amphenol RF, a world leader in the design, manufacture and supply of RF interconnect systems for the automotive, broadband, instrumentation, internet, military/aerospace and wireless infrastructure markets has expanded their ultra-miniature product portfolio with a new AMC to BNC adapter. This new option for ultra-miniature connectivity allows the secure bayonet coupling mechanism featured on the popular BNC interface to be mounted to the outside of a panel. As a result, it allows for easy attachment of an antenna or compatible BNC cable assembly. Inside the panel, an AMC jack, fully compatible with industry-standard U.FL and MHF1 products, can be connected to any length jumper assembly to mate with an ultra-miniature module inside the box.
This durable AMC to BNC adapter is machined from brass and nickel-plated with PTFE insulator and a gold-plated, beryllium copper contact. The 50 ohm performance up to 6 GHz is well-suited for most commercial or industrial applications, as well as IoT and smart products. This adapter joins a robust portfolio of coaxial adapters engineered for a wide variety of traditional and emerging technologies.
