Scientific Microwave Launches High-Power Double-Ridged Waveguide Magic Tees from 840 MHz to 40 GHz

Scientific Microwave Corporation (SMC), a company that offers advanced state-of-the-art technical expertise for the design, development, and production of passive microwave and millimeter wave components, has developed 4-port double ridged waveguide magic tees covering bands from 840 MHz to 40 GHz. These magic tees feature full band operation, deep matching with high isolation in both the co-linear ports and the E & H-ports, stable transmission throughout the operating range, and high-power handling capability. They provide more than 30 dB of isolation in the E-H plane and 15 dB of isolation in the co-linear axis. They have a VSWR of 1.6:1. These magic tees are available in multiple waveguide sizes, with each size offering unique electrical characteristics. For example, the WRD250S/WRD600 are SMC special-designed double ridge waveguide structures that cover an extremely wide band in the ratio of 3:1, while the WRD600P is a double ridge waveguide structure with exceptional high power handling capability.

The magic tees are manufactured using Aluminum 6061, Copper, and Brass materials with Chromate/plated finish. These components can also be painted with special requests from customers. The SMC-170D magic tees are both RoHS and REACH compliant and are certified according to ISO 9001:2015 standards.
