PCTEL announced that its UL certified PIM160 LTE MIMO antenna achieved SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) Certification in Europe. This certification permits mobile operators, building owners and systems integrators to deploy PCTEL’s PIM160 MIMO antenna for high-performance, in-building 4G and DAS applications.
SAR certification testing by UL ensures that indoor antennas comply with European limits on RF energy levels. These standards protect people from unsafe RF radiation as operators build out in-building wireless infrastructure to provide high quality wireless coverage in malls, hospitals, airports, stadiums and hotels.
