Unobtrusive Antenna for in-Building 802.11g/n Wi-Fi & ISM-Band Applications

Southwest Antennas

Southwest Antennas has introduced a new small form factor panel antenna designed specifically for IEEE 802.11g/n Wi-Fi or other ISM applications in the 2.4 - 2.5 GHz frequency band. The antenna is designed to handle up to 10 Watts of RF input power, has a maximum gain of 7.8 dBi, and is vertically polarized.

Measuring only half an inch thick, this antenna is ideal for use as a stand-alone solution for providing Wi-Fi / ISM band coverage within a building or other structure while remaining unobtrusive. The thin form factor also allows this product to be integrated into other products and enclosures, such as mobile Wi-Fi hotspots for construction sites, military bases, and rapid deployment ad-hoc networks. Three holes in the radome allow for secure mounting within an enclosure or directly to a wall or other structure.

Designed to meet the rugged standards all Southwest Antenna products are held to, this antenna features a robust Kydex radome available in either black or white, is MIL-STD 810 drop test compliant, and is environmentally sealed and suitable for outdoor use. Twelve inches of cable and a RP-SMA(m) RF connector come standard, other cable lengths and RF connectors are available upon request.

The antenna is available now from Southwest Antennas in black and white radome options.
