PCTEL Introduces New Wi-Fi Sector Antennas for High Traffic Venues

Venu Antennas

PCTEL has unveiled three new VenU® Wi-Fi sector antennas at Cisco Live. The VenU series of antennas maximize network coverage, capacity, and efficiency for high-traffic venues. These new antennas complement their existing VenU Wi-Fi portfolio, offering a wider range of coverage options. They have been successfully deployed by a major radio manufacturer in North American stadiums.

The VenU antennas provide higher network throughput with OEM-grade, dual-band 802.11ac MIMO performance. Network designers can take advantage of this wider range of antennas to precisely tailor coverage to each venue. With more precise coverage, networks will require fewer hotspots and will consume less energy to provide the same level of performance."

The New VenU antenna models include 8-port and 4-port dual polarization in a variety of gain ranges, as well as an 8-port single polarization model. All models are IP67-rated for durability when installed indoors or out. These new products will be available with mounting hardware options to accommodate various outdoor installation requirements. All models will be available for shipment in August. Click here to see the VenU range.
