Unicircuit, a subsidiary of Anaren, Inc. has been selected by Lockheed Martin to receive orders in excess of $40.0 million for microwave assemblies in support of the Long Range Discrimination Radar (LRDR) system. The radar system will support a layered ballistic missile defense strategy to protect the U.S. homeland from ballistic missile attacks. Work on this project will begin immediately and is expected to be completed in the 4th quarter of calendar year 2018. Production will be shared between Unicircuit (80%) and Anaren’s East Syracuse NY (20%) facilities.
"Lockheed Martin was seeking a cost effective, high performance solution for these specialized antenna array assemblies and this contract is the result of outstanding collaboration between the engineering and management teams of both companies,” says Mark Kosalek, Vice President Business Development. “ We look forward to a continued partnership with Lockheed Martin on future versions of this important National Defense system,” Kosalek added.
Anaren’s Unicircuit facility, located in Littleton CO, provides high-reliability, high-density printed circuit board and integrated assembly solutions for use in Aerospace and Defense markets.
