Cobham Wireless, an industry-leading provider of RF Test Systems, had been selected by WBL Services to provide Radio Communication testing and monitoring during an NFL game on the 5th of February, 2017. Their systems were used on site to monitor and troubleshoot critical voice and data RF communication systems during the game.

The Cobham 3920B was used to ensure that critical radio communication utilized during the game by the teams, and supporting ground operations, were not subject to interference. In addition, it was also used to provide test capabilities to ensure that radios utilized at the event met strict performance criteria to ensure proper operation during the game. The 3920B was deployed on site to monitor RF communications from a variety of radio technologies, including legacy analog systems and new digital DMR and NXDN Radio Systems.

The communication system was specifically selected due to the system’s ability to monitor and analyze new digital radio communication technologies.
