Raytheon’s Integrated Defense Systems Division has won a contract for the US Air Force’s next generation ground-based radar. The Air Force has awarded them a $52,686,179 fixed-price-incentive Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) contract for its Three-Dimensional Expeditionary Long-Range Radar (3DELRR) system.
Raytheon has been awarded the contract for a second time and ends a two-and-a-half-year fight with its competitors, Northrop Grumman and Lockheed Martin.
