PowerSphyr Co-founder David Meng Appointed As the New CEO

PowerSphyr has appointed its co-founder and an innovator in the wireless power industry, David Meng as the new Chief Executive Officer. PowerSphyr’s wireless power ecosystem consists of a power transfer hub, which is capable of transferring and sustaining power from the hub to one or more fixed or portable electronic devices within range. PowerSphyr’s products employ the most advanced wireless power transfer techniques known to date and can selectively induce one or more techniques intelligently based on required range and priority. They are poised to disrupt the global electronics industry as each new device is “unplugged” by the integration of a PowerSphyr wireless power solution.

David Meng has 17 years of leadership and technology experience in the U.S. and abroad. Prior to PowerSphyr, he founded and served as CEO of Spectra Optronics International, an advanced clean technology company specializing in LED products for general illumination.

David Meng succeeds Neil Ganz, who will remain on PowerSphyr’s Board of Directors and will continue to be actively engaged with the company at the board level.

Meng has a wide range of experience in technology hardware development, manufacturing and marketing in the U.S. and Asia. From 2005 and 2010, he led regional marketing and operations for Multi-FineLine Electronix, where he managed corporate relationships with the world’s largest contract electronics manufacturers, including HTC, Foxconn, Flextronics, Asus/Pegatron and Acer/Wistron. Earlier in his career, he held positions with leading global electronics corporations, including Wearnes Global headquartered in Singapore and Delta Electronics, the world’s largest power supply manufacturer headquartered in Taipei.
