Fractus Antennas has introduced a new reference design where its Virtual Antenna technology is used to cover all the Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) frequencies, including GPS, GLONASS and BeiDou. RUN mXTEND antenna booster to provide full satellite navigation performance that allows location signal usability anywhere in the world. The RUN mXTEND reference design provides operation in three frequency regions: 1561 MHz (BeiDou E1 band), 1575 MHz (GPS L1 band) and from 1598 MHz to 1606 MHz (GLONASS L1 band).
The RUN mXTEND™ Antenna Booster has been specifically designed for providing multiband performance in wireless devices (in particular in mobile devices), enabling worldwide coverage by allowing operation in the communication standards GSM850, GSM900, GSM1800/DCS, GSM1900/PCS, UMTS, LTE700, LTE800, LTE850, LTE900, LTE1700, LTE1800, LTE1900, LTE2000, LTE2100, LTE2300, LTE2500, LTE2600, LTE3500 and LTE3700.
They have created an Application Note that shows how the antenna covers all the GNSS bands with more than 80% of efficiency. It is available in a small 12.0 mm x 3.0 mm x 2.4 mm packge. Click here to learn more about this new reference design.
