Single Off-the-Shelf Chip Antenna Targets All IoT Bands

Innovative antenna solutions provider, Fractus Antennas, has unveiled a new chip antenna that can be used in all frequency bands of operation for the Internet of Things, including NB-IoT, Sigfox, LoRa and Zigbee among others both licensed and unlicensed IoT standards.

The RUN mXTEND is a miniature, off-the-shelf chip antenna that can be used for all IoT technologies. It fits multiple platform sizes and can be assembled in production on a PCB (Printed Circuit Board) using conventional pick-and-place machinery, saving production costs and increasing quality and reliability to the final device.

The RUN mXTEND belongs to a new generation of antenna products called Virtual Antenna, focused on replacing conventional antenna solutions with miniature and off-the-shelf components where the antenna can remain the same, irrespective of the technology being used (IoT, 4G, 5G etc).
