The R&S DST200 from Rohde & Schwarz is an RF Diagnostic Test Chamber for a frequency range from 400 MHz to 18 GHz. It has been designed for accurate RF testing and analysis during development. This anechoic chamber supports a wide range of radiated test applications for wireless devices and fits on any R&D lab bench, where it can be used during the product design and optimization phase. The R&S DST200 allows the integration of RF circuits such as pre-amplifiers between the test antenna and equipment to extend the dynamic range for emission measurements or to implement RF switching to distribute the signal across different test instruments. It can achieve free-space conditions at the EUT test position through the optimized design and layout of the pyramidal RF absorbers, minimizing parasitic loading of the EUT and antenna detuning due to conductive parts of the chamber frame. This chamber supports a manual 3D open-structure positioner with two axes of rotation, allowing for any orientation of the EUT. It also integrates a unique door-locking mechanism that is designed to support long-term operation without any pneumatic components.
This test chamber provides excellent correlation of results with a correlation of less than 1 dB. It also provides individual path calibration tables from the factory that is ready to be imported to the R&SAMS32 or R&SEMC32 measurement software. This chamber allows optional reference antennas to be integrated for accurate measurement procedures set up by the customer and is further supported by a base plate with a set of adapters to place these antennas at multiple heights. It can be connected to a network analyzer using appropriate RF cables and adapters, resulting in a complete test kit, without the need for any additional components.
The R&S DST200 has an integrated report function that compiles all measured data such as graphical and numerical results, test environments, EUT data and numerical results, and hardware setup in a single document, which can be further customized in layout and saved in several different standard formats. It requires an AC supply from 100 V to 240 V and consumes 50 W of power. This diagnostic chamber is available in an enclosure that measures 770 x 760 x 695 mm (outer dimensions) and is ideal for wireless device testing, MIMO performance evaluation, and antenna testing applications.
