The AWMF-0133 from Anokiwave is a Ka-Band Quad-Core Beamforming IC that operates from 27.5 to 30 GHz. It supports four dual-polarization radiating elements with full polarization flexibility (RHCP, LHCP, linear) and provides 20 dB of gain per channel with an output power of +8 dBm per element per polarization. The device has 6-bit phase control with an LSB of 5.625 degrees and 5-bit gain control with an LSB of 0.5 dB. It requires +1.2 V supply voltage and has ESD protection on all pins. The chip has additional features such as gain compensation over temperature, temperature reporting, and Tx output power telemetry. It is available in a Wafer Level Chip Scale Package for easy installation in planar phased array antennas and is suitable to be used in satellite communication terminals.
