The V-Band Upconverter from L3Harris Narda-MITEQ is an outdoor, antenna-mounted block upconverter that is designed to simultaneously cover multiple wide bandwidth satellite transponders by accepting four independent IF inputs which are up converted into one wideband RF output. The Block Upconverter converts an IF frequency from 1.45 – 2.45 GHz (in 4 ports) to an RF frequency from 47.2 – 51.4 GHz. The BUC provides a gain of 33 dB, has a P1dB of more than 9 dBm, and a noise figure of under 18.5 dB. It has a maximum amplitude response of ±0.5 dB/40 MHz, an image rejection of more than 80 dB, and a group delay of 1.5 ns peak-to-peak across any 500 MHz band.
The BUC supports an Ethernet interface which provides Web-browser based configuration, SNMP 1.0 configuration, alarm reporting via SNMP trap, telnet access, password protection and has selectable RS-485/RS-422 for remote interfacing. It has a strong set of monitor and control functions that support powerful remote control. A contact closure summary alarm is provided for fault monitoring amd a continuously updated log of timestamped records of activity is also provided.
This antenna-mounted BUC is available in IP64-rated, weather resistant enclosure that measures 543.6 x 348.0 x 188.0 mm with various coaxial connectors.
