The SIM8800E from SimCom is a Sub-6 GHz Multi-Band 5G-NR Module with optional C-V2X functionality. This automotive-grade module supports 3GPP R15 5G NSA/SA with a data transfer rate of up to 900 Mbps (uplink) and 2.4 Gbps (downlink). It is designed for automotive applications with IATF 16949 requirement and provide a unique combination of performance, security and flexibility for automotive applications.
This module has in-built GNSS functionality that supports GPS, GLONASS, Beidou and Galileo constellations. It requires a DC supply of 3.3-4.3 V and can be controlled via USB 2.0, UART, USIM, PCM, SPI, ADC, I2C, GPIO, RGMII and PCIe Gen 3 interfaces. The module is available in an LGA package that measures 54.50 x 53.00 x 3.45 and has 4x4 antenna interfaces and is suitable for 5G, LTE-FDD/LTE-TDD, WCDMA and GSM applications.
