The NE310L2 Series from Telit are LTE UE Cat NB2 modules that are designed for low-data throughput IoT applications. They deliver an uplink data rate of up to 160 Kbps (LTE) & 42.8 Kbps (GPRS fallback variant) and a downlink data rate of up to 120 Kbps (LTE) & 85.6 Kbps (GPRS fallback variant). These modules require a DC supply of 3.2-4.2 V and consume less than 45 μA of current. They can be controlled via SIM, UART, SPI and I2C interfaces.
The NE310L2 series is 3GPP Release 14 compliant and supports power saving techniques like PSM (3GPP Rel. 12) and eDRX (3GPP Rel. 13). 3GPP Rel. 14 further improves features by adding techniques to increase the data rate for NB-IoT. They are part of Telit’s xE310 flexible perimeter footprint family and have surplus reserve pads to future-proof the end device with additions like Bluetooth connectivity and GNSS which allows integration into single and multi-technology products.
These modules are available in an LGA package that measures 13.1 x 14.3 mm (LTE only variant) and 15 x 18 mm (2G fallback variant) and are ideal for healthcare monitoring, home automation, industrial sensors, smart agriculture, asset tracking, portable devices and smart metering applications.
