The S-6000 Series from BERTEN are IP Data Links that operate from 70 MHz to 6 GHz. They feature two full-duplex channels with data rates from 700 Kbps to 78 Mbps. These data links support the proprietary COFDM waveform and are designed to establish reliable long-range communications under high velocity, acceleration, jerk, and shock conditions. The two transmitter and receiver channels can be configured to set up two full-duplex links, a multi-band modem, or a TDMA network. They support FDMA and TDMA multiplexing to allow point-to-point, point-to-multipoint, and mesh networks (MANET) with configurable time slots, regenerative data relay, and dynamic routing capabilities.
The S-6000 series data links allow the selection of RF band, data, and transmitted power, meeting the range, platform, and regulatory requirements. They can be connected directly to the Gigabit Ethernet interface to transfer IP data packets through the wireless link (telemetry, video, audio, commands), working as a network bridge that is transparent to the user. They utilize the maximal rate c(MRC) technique for optimal MIMO spatial diversity over the bandwidth with an embedded 128-bit AES encryption scheme for security. These data links utilize C2 protocol for seamless local and remote configuration and status monitoring of the units through the Ethernet interface. They also offer advanced proprietary algorithms that ensure stable links under highly dynamic conditions.
The data links provide configurable outputs through the D-sub, BNC, and other RF interfaces. They also offer an extended operating temperature range based on the conduction-cooled design along with resistance against temperature (high), vibration, shock, EMI/EMC, and voltage transients as per military standards. The S-6000 series data links are available in an IP67-rated airborne enclosure that measures 228.6 x 203.2 x 88 mm with SMA and N-type connectors. They are qualified communication systems for drones, UAVs, helicopters, fixed-wing aircraft, ground vehicles, control stations, and launchers. They can operate on both AC and DC supplies, requiring an AC supply from 85 V to 264 V, a DC supply of 12 V to 30 V, and consume less than 0.7 A of current.
The S-6000 series consists of U6000, C6000, and R6000 models with the rugged and miniaturized U6000/C6000 ideal for aerial and ground platforms, while the rackmount R6000 is ideal for control stations.
The data links are provided with ITAR-free NLR export classification.
