The GRX-8000 from Elbit Systems is a Radio System that operates in the NATO Band IV (4.4 to 5 GHz) and optional NATO Band III+ (1.35 to 2.7 GHz). It is a line-of-sight radio system with a range of 100 Km and supports fixed frequency (FF) and frequency hopping (FH) modes. This radio system provides a one-way data rate of up to 100 Mbps and an aggregated data rate of up to 200 Mbps. It features advanced jamming-resistant electronic counter-countermeasures (ECCM) to enable secure, interference-free PtP, PtMP, and IP tactical communications. The system performs synchronous and adaptive fast frequency hopping for simultaneous, interference-free communications. Embedded reliable Forward Error Correction (FEC) and Adaptive Coding and Modulation (ACM) provide jamming immunity.
The GRX-8000 has a bandwidth of up to 30 MHz and supports 16-QAM, 64-QAM, and QPSK modulation types. It achieves automatic and fast link tuning and establishment using Elbit Systems' two axes electro-mechanical antenna rotator. This radio system implements AES256-bit encryption/decryption for data and System Control (SysCon). It supports the latest IP and legacy communication protocols and includes a wide range of interfaces including Ethernet LAN/IP 1000Base-T, G.703 E1 (2Mbps). The radio complies to MIL-STD-810G and MIL-STD-461E standards and has an operating temperature range from -40°C to +60°C. It supports fixed, deployed, and On the Move (OTM) ground and maritime applications and provides high capacity, robust wireless connectivity, and high link availability between general HQs and field command posts, in the field and in maritime deployed CPs, EW or surveillance platforms to regional centers for video/high-definition data links.
