The EDRO-1000 from Exodus Dynamics is a Free Running Dielectric Resonator Oscillator (DRO) that operates from 1 to 40 GHz. It utilizes advanced MIC and MMIC technologies to generate precise, reliable, and ultra-low noise signals at microwave and mmWave bands up to 40 GHz. The DRO is available in a uni-package that has been designed to mechanically withstand harsh environmental conditions due to Shock / Vibration, Temperature and Humidity. The required frequency range can be specified by the user and the oscillator has a Mechanical tuning range of 100 MHz.
This oscillator is buffered by a cascaded low noise driver and power amplifiers for minimum load pulling, maximum isolation, and power. It has an output power of +10 dBm with a SSB phase noise of 95 dBc/Hz (at 10 kHz offset) and harmonics of -25 dBc. It has a frequency pulling of ±90 ppm and has a frequency stability of 3 ppm/°C. The DRO requires a DC supply of 10/12/15 V, consumes 90-110 mA of current, and is internally voltage regulated to avoid reverse bias, frequency pushing bias modulation, and voltage transients. This RoHS-compliant dielectric oscillator is available in a module that measures 2.25 x 0.92 x 0.67 inches with SMA (female), 2.40 mm, and 2.92 mm connectors. It is ideal for local area networks (LAN), GPS, transmitters/receivers, missile guidance, space, airborne, military, and commercial applications.
