The 8TR8210 from Berex is a 2.4 GHz ZigBee/Bluetooth Front-End RFIC. It consists of an integrated power amplifier (PA), low noise amplifier (LNA), a bypass function, transmit/receive (T/R) switch, filter networks, input/output matching circuitry, and high directivity power detector. This RFIC includes filter networks, input/output matching circuitry, and a high directivity power detector. It requires a DC supply from 3 V and consumes less than 85 mA of current in Tx mode, and less than 8 mA in Tx mode. This IC has ultra-low shutdown (0.3 µA) and bypass currents (1.3 µA) and is optimized for battery-powered IoT applications. It is designed for range extension of 802.15.4 ZigBee™/ Thread, Bluetooth® Smart, RF4CE, and proprietary ISM wireless systems in the 2.4GHz band.
In Tx mode, it delivers a saturated output power of 20 dBm with a large-signal gain of 23 dB and has a second harmonic level of -50 dBm/Hz. In Rx mode, it provides a small-signal gain of 12 dB and has a noise figure of 3 dB. The 8TR8210 is available in a 16-pin QFN package that measures 3.00 x 3.00 x 0.45 mm and is ideal for IoT (Internet of Things) / M2M Connectivity, 802.15.4 Zigbee/Thread, Proprietary ISM, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) Mesh Networks, Bluetooth Smart, RF4C, smart home hubs & gateways, smart lighting, smart metering, smart energy, consumer electronics, smart appliances, home, industrial, building automation, wireless sensor nodes & networks, wireless audio & video, remote control toys, and drone applications.
