The QPB9325 from Qorvo is a Front-End Module that operates from 3.3 to 4.2 GHz. It integrates a high-power switch, two low-noise amplifier (LNA) stages, PIN-diode driver circuits, and a DC converter. This module uses Qorvo’s high-performance E-pHEMT process, and the switch allows for power levels up to 360 W peak power to be routed to an external load termination. In Tx mode, this FEM has an insertion loss of less than 1 dB while in Rx mode, it provides a gain of 34.1 dB with a noise figure of less than 1.65 dB and has a reverse isolation of 58 dB. It requires a DC supply of 5 V, consumes 240 mA of current in Rx mode, and less than 150 mA of current in Tx mode.
The QPB9325 is available in a compact surface-mount leadless package that measures 8 x 8 mm and is ideal for TDD macro or picocell base stations and wireless infrastructure applications configured for TDD-based architectures.
