The RFX2411N from Skyworks Solutions is a 2.4 GHz Integrated Front-End Module. This module has an architecture that integrates TX/RX and diversity switching circuitry with PA, LNA, and the associated matching networks on a single-chip CMOS device. It also includes a bypass mode to provide maximum flexibility for system implementations.
In Tx mode, it delivers a saturated output power of +21 dBm with a small signal gain of 25 dB while in Rx mode, it provides 12 dB of gain with a noise figure of 2.5 dB. This module supports various signal applications in the ISM band, enhanced data rates, and low-energy applications such as Bluetooth, 802.15.4, Zigbee technology applications, ANT, and Thread. It has an integrated power detector for TX power monitor & control and supports QPSK, DQPSK, and 8DPSK modulations.
The RFX2411N requires a DC supply of 3.3 V and consumes 90 mA of current in Tx mode. This module is available in a compact QFN package that measures 3.00 x 3.00 x 0.55 mm and is ideal for extended range devices, Zigbee technology, ANT+, Thread, Bluetooth signal applications (including low energy applications), RF4CE, smart energy/metering/lighting/remote control, home and industrial automation, custom 2.4 GHz radio systems and mobile & battery system applications.
