The L26-T from Quectel is an Ultra-Compact GNSS Module that can concurrently connect to GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, BeiDou, and QZSS constellations. It uses DGPS and SBAS systems for better accuracy and performance and utilizes AGNSS (Assisted GNSS) aiding data that significantly reduces the time to first fix (TTFF). The module has a TTFF cold start of less than 32 sec and a warm start of under 25 sec (@-130 dBm without AGNSS). It provides acquisition sensitivity of -147 dBm, tracking sensitivity of -162 dBm, and reacquisition sensitivity of -154 dBm. The module requires a DC supply of 3.3 V and can be controlled by a UART interface.
The L26-T consists of an in-built LNA that ensures better performance under weak signal circumstances and has a position hold mode that reduces timing jitter. It offers outstanding acquisition sensitivity even on the first setup, when precise location, time, or frequency are still unknown. The module uses the power saving mode to reduce power consumption and is manufactured according to IATF 16949: 2016 standard. It is available in a 24-pin LCC package that measures 16 x 12.2 x 2.3 mm and is ideal for a base station, automotive, and industrial applications.
