The AntaRx-S3 from Septentrio is a Multi-Constellation Smart Antenna + GNSS Receiver. It has been designed to provide robust and reliable positioning and heading in the most challenging environments. This receiver offers centimeter-level real-time kinematic (RTK) accuracy and utilizes Septentrio’s LOCK+ technology to maintain tracking during heavy vibrations along with IONO+ to ensure position accuracy even under periods of elevated ionospheric activity. The integrated antenna allows for a lean configuration and adding an auxiliary GNSS antenna enables heading and pitch or heading and roll measurements without the need for movement. This GNSS antenna system requires a DC supply from 9 to 48 V and consumes 8 W of power.
The AntaRx-S3 integrates the latest in special interference mitigation technology which filters out ambient intentional and unintentional RF interference on all three frequency bands. This receiver’s integrated cellular modem uses APME+, a posteriori multipath estimator for code and phase multipath mitigation and RAIM+ to autonomously monitor and maintain receiver signal integrity. It supports Septentrio’s binary format with sample parsing tools and has a rich set of interfaces such as RS232/RS422, Ethernet, CAN, USB, and xPPS. This GNSS antenna system provides a positioning accuracy of 0.6 m (SBAS) and 0.4 m (DGNSS), a velocity accuracy of 0.03 m/s, and a time accuracy of 10 ns. It has a cold-start time of up to 45 s and a warm-up time of less than 20 s.
This WEEE-compliant smart antenna is available in an IP69K-rated enclosure that measures 158 x 166 x 83 mm with TNC (female) connectors and has an operating temperature range from -40°C to +75°C. It is ideal for logistics and port operations, mining, construction, precision agriculture, and automation applications.
