The airPATH 80 E-Band from Miliwave is a Point-to-Point Wireless Backhaul Radio that operates from 71 to 76 GHz and 81 to 86 GHz. It is designed for use in 5G RAN transport in backhaul, midhaul, and fronthaul applications. This radio supports full-duplex mode for communication with a channel spacing of 250/500 MHz and delivers a data rate of 2.6 Gbps in the 1+0 configuration and 5.2 Gbps in the 2+0 configuration. It uses multiple modulation options such as QPSK, QAM, and hitless ACM to adapt to the network conditions.
The airPATH 80 E-Band uses IEEE 1558v2 precision time protocol and synchronous Ethernet for accurate synchronization. This backhaul radio allows antenna/ODU unit to be easily assembled and antenna polarization and azimuth/elevation beamwidth parameters to be optimally adjusted on the field. It includes web-based GUI, SNMP v2, and Telnet protocols for access to network management. This E-band radio can be controlled using SFP+, SFP, and RJ-45 interfaces. The radio can be powered via a power-over-ethernet (PoE) unit or a 48 V DC supply and consumes 55 W of power. It is available in an IP66-rated enclosure that measures 620 x 620 x 490 mm.
