The A5c from Mimosa Networks is a Point-to-Multipoint Access Point that operates from 5150 to 6400 MHz. It delivers a throughput of up to 1 Gbps (1.7 Gbps PHY) and supports Wi-Fi Interop and Spectrum Reuse Synchronization (SRS) wireless protocols. This access point can support up to 64 clients in the Wi-Fi interlop protocol and 44 clients in the SRS protocol. It supports 20/40/80 MHz channels with 4x4:4 MIMO OFDM modulation up to 256QAM. The access point supports smart spectrum management with active scan monitoring of ongoing RF interference across channels (no service impact) and dynamic auto-optimization of channel and bandwidth use. It is suitable for any unlicensed fixed wireless network with excellent access point capacity, along with local and network-wide spectrum reuse.
The A5c delivers an output power of 27 dBm and has a sensitivity of -93 dBm (at 20 MHz bandwidth). It has integrated, high-precision GPS Sync technology that allows this access point to be added at existing Mimosa A5 and B5 sites and reuse the same channel to save unlicensed spectrum. This access point supports 1PPS GPS TX/RX synchronization for collocated co-channel radios and adjustable up/downstream bandwidth ratio. It requires a DC supply from 48 to 56 V via Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) and consumes 25 W of power. The access point can be connected to the Mimosa Cloud which simplifies deployment with network spectrum use and performance optimized across all of deployed devices.
The A5c includes a Gigabit Ethernet interface along with other interfaces for cloud monitoring and provisioning. It is available in an IP67-rated housing that measures 300 x 151 x 85 mm with N-type (female) connectors and an integrated mounting panel. This access point is ideal for long-range pole and tower multipoint applications, access point collocation (GPS Sync), and municipal and rural licensed public safety multipoint applications.
